Last summer, the Swedish State Authority for Castle, Park and Museum administration (SFV) faced the challenge of upgrading its automation system for an exhibition to take place in the winter of 2010 at the Swedish National Museum, Stockholm, An upgrade was necessary to fulfil the requirements for a secure, reliable and highly performing system related to data logging, storage and report management.

Within a selection procedure, Nordomatic presented the WEBfactory Software and was selected from a large number of competitors. From the point of view of SFV, two relevant benefits gave the WEBfactory Software the advantage for investing into a new system:

• Technical benefits: Microsoft Silverlight with vector-based graphs, the system security architecture, and the fact that WEBfactory software can be integrated into the IT security guidelines of SFV with no problems whatsoever

• WEBfactory license management: No limited number of client licenses as compared to other systems available on the market

In a short time, Nordomatic implemented the new SCADA system, including the WEBfactory software and three Mitsubishi controls. The system is now available without limitations to employees on the SFV intranet.

The project was so successful that Nordomatic received an order directly afterwards, to develop a similar system solution for the Stockholm Administrative Court of Law.

Using WEBfactory, a number of projects were executed for the following organisations/enterprises:

• Danderyds Kommun: Implementation of a new WEBfactory SCADA/HMI solution with 65 connected controls of SAIA, Mitsubishi, Fidelix and Honeywell

• Tyresö Kommun: Integration of a new WEBfactory SCADA/HMI solution with 115 connected controls (Honeywell)

• Kv. Bremen / Kv. Riga / Kv. Primus, Stockholm: Implementation of three new WEBfactory servers with 35 connected controls (Honeywell and Fidelix). Based on this positive experience, beneficiary Vasakronan, the largest real estate company in Sweden, intends to use the modern and highly reliable software of WEBfactory also in its future automation projects.
