- Multilanguage alarm help texts that give the end user more information regarding the cause, effect and removal of the currently active alarms can be provided

- Besides a strictly event-oriented logging, such as before (each event “Alarm comes”, “Alarm goes” and “Alarm confirms” represents a database entry) there is a historical logging for each alarm (an individual entry in the database for each alarm event: “comes”, “goes” and “confirms” are three characteristics of the same entry)
- Text-based alarm substitution values can be stored in the database and represented in the alarm
- One can establish on term if an alarm should be processed from the server and if it should be represented in the visualization of the alarm display
